German Corporate Governance Code

The German Corporate Governance Code contains major statu-
tory provisions for running and monitoring German corporations,
including nationally and internationally accepted standards
for good and responsible corporate governance.

The Code is intended to make corporate governance rules more transparent
for national and international investors and to strengthen the
confdence of shareholders, associates, customers, and the pub-
lic in the management of corporations. The Code describes the
general legal framework for a company and the functionality of
the board of management and the supervisory board of German
corporations.
