The Netherlands slipping slightly, the
United Kingdom and France heavily
All of the relevant West European countries
are losing market share in imports of car
parts to Germany, but Great Britain and
France stand out with their shares declining
from 11% to 3% and 17% to 9%, respectively.
The emergence of Central and Eastern
Europe has also clearly damaged Austria’s
competitive position (14% to 8%).
The Netherlands’ share has dropped from 2.8%
to 2.3%.
