Strong growth in science, technology, engineering
There has been particularly strong growth in science, technology, engineering
and mathematics courses that are vital for a technology and innovation hub like
Germany. The number of STEM graduates has increased by at least two-thirds
to almost 110,000.
Today around 35% of all graduates come from these subject
areas up from 31.3% in 2005. Germany is therefore a global leader in this area,
ahead of Korea with 31%.
